Nicholas Joseph presents The Groom's Event on Sunday, April 3rd from 2 - 4 PM. This is obviously yet another bridal shopping party poorly disguised as an event for men. Strawberries in tuxedos? Tuxedo cake samples? Free grooming tips?? The only manly thing about this is the free booze and the cigars, but you probably can't light one up until you go outside. Next time you want the fellas to come out I suggest you supply some barbecue, beer, tobacco pipes, top hats and free hunting tips. You can keep the tuxedo cake as long as a woman is going to pop out of it.

Kitchen Kombat!

On Tuesday, April 12th, a group of elite chefs representing Cibo Matto, Epic, Happ Inn, Market, Palmerhouse Lockwood and Sub-Zero Wolf Showroom will go head to head in The Ultimate Cooking Competition! Each of these culinary assassins will fight for the honor of his/her restaurant dojo by attempting to create the best dish and ensuring that it is paired perfectly with a glass of Chivas Regal Scotch. This one is gonna be hot, so hot that it will melt your face and drizzle it over a scoop of hazelnut truffle ice cream.

Hotel Palomar 1st Birthday

The Hotel Palomar is celebrating its One-Year Anniversary with complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres on Tuesday, March 22nd. As part of this celebration the hotel will host an "art salon", which I assume is elitist talk for "art gallery", featuring the works of Justus Roe and Darrell Roberts.

The salon is called "Sleeping With The Artist", which means one of two things. Whoever gets a roofie in their drink will actually BECOME the artwork (check the artists' Facebook pages for pictures on Wednesday morning!) or Prince will perform new songs inspired by his dreams interspersed with verbiage from Jehovah's Witnesses literature.

High-end furniture store JANUS et Cie, which I'm pretty sure translates to "Kool and the Gang", is throwing a Spring Cocktail Reception on Thursday, April 7th, to celebrate the introduction of its new JANUSfiber Collection! Prepare to marvel at the new, innovative indoor and outdoor furniture designs rumored to be handmade by autistic extraterrestrial beings. I don't know what the picture above is about but it was included in the flyer. I'm guessing it's a poster for The Adjustment Bureau. Nevertheless I am certain that cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served at this shindig so RSVP immediately!
